AGF for Out-of-Province Applicants

Program Status: Active

The Agtech Growth Fund (AGF) is a research and development (R&D) funding program aimed at fast-tracking the commercialization of technological innovations in Saskatchewan’s agriculture sector.

Through AGF for Out-of-Province (OP) Applicants, we help out-of-province and international companies in core sectors establish R&D operations in Saskatchewan to advance development and adoption of their solutions and help fill a gap in the province’s agtech ecosystem.

Eligibility

For funding opportunities across Saskatchewan’s core sectors, explore the Saskatchewan Advantage Innovation Fund for Out-of-Province Applicants.

Overview

AGF offers non-dilutive funding to support R&D projects that advance and enhance Saskatchewan’s agriculture sector.

The AGF OP Applicants program encourages out-of-province and international companies to establish R&D operations in Saskatchewan, addressing key challenges and shaping the future of agriculture.

Any contributions provided by an Innovation Saskatchewan Research Partner will be counted towards the agency’s contribution. Funding received from an Innovation Saskatchewan Research Partner cannot exceed 30 per cent of the project’s budget when combined with the amount requested from AGF. Funding stacked from other provincial government sources will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
